Craig Wayne Boyd brings The Voice with him when he makes a visit to the Whiskey Barrel Saloon on Thursday night.

Being a part of Team Blake Shelton, and winning season seven of NBC’s reality TV series The Voice has kept Craig Wayne Boyd on a busy schedule. However, that didn’t keep him from taking an evening to entertain the crowd in Lansing, MI.

With a full set list of old and new songs, originals and covers, Craig made it quite clear that he is a fan of older contemporary country, as compared to the new pop/rock sound taking over country radio today. Playing songs from  his earlier album I Ain’t No Quitter, to hit song covers such as “Working Man Blues,” “Take It Easy,” and his own version of Johnny Cash’s “I Walk The Line.”

Craig Wayne Boyd made sure to not let his fans down as he included his first song debut from his upcoming album, “My Baby’s Got A Smile On Her Face,” which debuted at number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart.  Also, on his list was the current single to this album that is due out later this fall, “I’m Still Here.”  At the end of the show, Craig and his band returned to the stage for an encore that ended with the fan favorite, “The Old Rugged Cross.”

The evening’s show was opened by Halfway To Hazard, a country music duo of singer-songwriters that originated from southeastern Kentucky.
