The duo will perform with special guest Alyssa Bonagura, daughter of Kathie Baillie and Michael Bonagura.
Baillie and the Boys dominated the country music scene in the late 80s and early 90s with their pop taste on contemporary country. Members include Kathie Baillie, Michael Bonagura, and Alan LeBoeuf. Baillie and Bonagura have been married since 1977 and now have a 26 year old daughter who is also making a name for herself in the music industry. LeBoeuf left the band at the height of their success to pursue a solo career. He returned in 2000 and has helped Baillie and the Boys return to their roots.
Baillie and the Boys’ hit songs include “Oh Heart (1987),” “Wilder Days” (1988), “Long Shot” (1988), “She Deserves You” (1989), “Heart of Stone” (1989), “I Can’t Turn the Tide” (1989), and “Fool Such as I” (1990). Their albums Baillie and the Boys, Turn the Tide, and The Lights of Home, produced 10 Top 20 singles, seven of which broke the Top 10 on the Billboard charts.
Their music has been described as contemporary country with a unique folk twist, the songwriting and vocals reminiscent of Linda Ronstadt and Juice Newton. The band will be celebrating over 25 years of critically acclaimed and Grammy nominated acoustic roots and a 25+ year relationship with RCA Records.
The show is scheduled for 23-Apr-2015 at The Crimson Moon in Dahlonega, GA. Check out The Crimson Moon links below for ticket and concert information.
